On December 24, in the Rivne Region, an aggressive crowd attacked a notification group of a territorial recruitment and social support center. This happened after the police officers who were part of the group tried to stop a car and check the driver's documents. As a result, one of the military was hit with a crowbar.

It was reported by the Operational Command "West."

The car did not stop and drove to the territory of a private entrepreneur. Subsequently, the situation was influenced by passers-by who, not understanding the legal grounds for the actions of the military, attacked them.

According to the command, the attackers pulled the military by their uniforms, insulted them and threw sticks. One of the citizens hit the serviceman with a crowbar, causing a fractured rib and bruises to the parenchyma of both lungs. The victim's condition is assessed as serious, he is being provided with medical assistance.

The Operational Command "West" called the incident "a direct obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with violence against servicemen," emphasizing that the incident was the result of a deliberate failure of some citizens to comply with the requirements of mobilization legislation.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Article 350, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional infliction of beatings or bodily harm to an official in connection with official or public activities.

Recall, in December, employees of the Peresypskyi District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center of the Odesa City pushed a Mariupol defender, a fighter of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, Roman Pokydko, who was released from enemy captivity six months ago and was in Odesa for rehabilitation, into a bus, beat him and threw him out while the car was moving.
