It becomes known who will be appointed as new business ombudsman

The Cabinet of Ministers plans to appoint German diplomat Anka Feldhusen as the new business ombudsman in Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The draft order was developed with the aim of electing Anka Feldguzen to the position of business ombudsman by the decision of the Supervisory Board of the Business Ombudsman Council dated 25.11.2025," the statement said.

The Business Ombudsman Council is an institution that helps entrepreneurs to protect their legitimate rights and interests in cooperation with public authorities out of court.

The continuity of its work is critical for business confidence in government institutions, reduction of administrative barriers and improvement of the quality of public services for entrepreneurs.

Anka Feldhusen is a German diplomat with many years of experience in foreign policy and international relations. Since the early 1990s, Feldhusen has been working in the German Foreign Office, holding various positions in Berlin and abroad, including in Ukraine, Cuba and the EU. She is fluent in Ukrainian.

In 2019-2023, Feldhusen served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine, becoming one of the key figures of German diplomacy in Kyiv before and during russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Since 2023, she has served as Director for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Stabilization at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

Before that, in August 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the appointment of former Mayor of Warsaw (Poland), Member of the Sejm (Parliament) of Poland Marcin Święcicki as a business ombudsman.
