Heating has already been restored in most residential buildings in Kyiv and the region. Work is ongoing in some buildings, and heat should be available everywhere by the end of the day.
This was announced on December 28 by Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba.
According to him, the delays were due to the phased launch of damaged networks. Centralized water supply has already been fully restored.
"The elimination of the consequences of the shelling of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region is ongoing. Utilities, energy, and emergency services are working non-stop - day and night - to restore heat, water, and electricity to people's homes as quickly as possible," the government official wrote on Telegram.
Recall that on December 27, as a result of a massive russian attack, almost a third of the capital was left without heat. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that more than 2,600 residential buildings, 187 kindergartens, 138 schools, and 22 social institutions were affected.
During the attack, russian forces used drones and missiles, killing one person and injuring 32 others. Emergency power outages were imposed in Kyiv and the region.
Meanwhile, rescuers in Kyiv have completed work to eliminate the consequences of the massive shelling of the military of the aggressor country, the russian federation, which occurred on December 27.
