Yurii Tkachuk became the director general of JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, on December 26 he was introduced to the company's staff by the head of the Naftogaz Group, Serhii Koretskyi.
This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This is one of the most responsible management positions in the industry. Therefore, the new director general now faces a number of critically important tasks. This includes restoring facilities after russian attacks, as well as increasing gas production volumes - through drilling new wells, carrying out major repairs, introducing new technologies, intensifying production in depleted fields and exploring new promising areas," Serhii Koretskyi noted.
The message states that the appointment of managers instead of temporary acting managers in key companies of the Group is a task of the Government, and Naftogaz is consistently fulfilling it.
Yurii Tkachuk has over 25 years of experience in the energy and industrial sectors.
It is noted that Tkachuk has worked as the Financial Director of JSC Ukrnafta since November 2022, where he was responsible for financial strategy, risk management and investment policy.
From May to December 2025, he served as the head of the enterprise.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, since mid-May, Yurii Tkachuk has been temporarily acting as the director of PJSC Ukrnafta.
On December 16, the Supervisory Board of PJSC Ukrnafta terminated the powers of the temporarily acting chairman of the company's board, Yurii Tkachuk.
Since June 2024, Serhii Lahno has been the acting director general of the state-owned gas production company Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
