President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with US President Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on the peace process. This is stated in a message on the Facebook account of the Head of State on Thursday, December 25.
Zelenskyy noted that he had a constructive conversation with representatives of the American negotiating team. According to him, the work on bringing peace to Ukraine continues around the clock and is aimed at implementing all documents and steps.
"We discussed some essential details of the work. There are good ideas that can work for a common result and lasting peace. Real security, real recovery, real peace is what we all need in Ukraine, in the United States, in Europe, and each of the partners who help us. I hope that our today's Christmas agreements and the ideas we have discussed will be useful," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
The conversation was also attended by Rustem Umerov, Andrii Hnatov, Andrii Sybiha, Serhii Kyslytsia, Ihor Brusylo, and Oleksandr Bevz.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke publicly for the first time about the content of the 20-point peace plan, which has been discussed by Ukraine, the United States and russia for the second month.
On December 23, Zelenskyy said that following meetings with the American side, drafts of several documents have been prepared.
