At noon on December 25, russian occupants massively shelled the central part of Kherson. The attack killed a man and wounded two more people.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin and the regional prosecutor's office have reported this.
"In the middle of the day, the occupiers cynically attacked the market, where people were preparing for the holidays. Numerous hits destroyed trade outlets," Prokudin noted.
A 47-year-old market worker who was at his workplace during the attack was killed in the shelling. Two other people were wounded.
The prosecutor's office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime that caused the death of a person under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, on December 25, russian troops attacked a five-story residential building in Chernihiv. One person was killed and five others were injured, including one child.
