During the year, the State Tax Service conducted about 200 actual inspections of currency exchange offices, and more than UAH 58 million in fines was charged for the violations detected.
This is stated in the report of the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
During the inspections, 20 facts of illegal work were revealed - without state registration as business entities.
In particular, the State Tax Service analyzed information on Internet resources and social networks and found an extensive network of round-the-clock exchangers.
They operated without:
▪️ proper state registration;
▪️ license from the National Bank of Ukraine;
▪️ payment of taxes;
▪️ the use of cash registers/software cash registers.
This network has been suspended for three weeks. Currently, the points are not working.
The tax authorities are monitoring the activity of the network in the future and will take appropriate measures in case of detection of new facts of illegal activity.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of 2023, the National Bank allowed banks and exchangers to sell currency to the public without restrictions.
