The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha stressed that the aggressor state of russia carried out another massive attack on energy infrastructure when the temperature drops, instead of a Christmas truce. He called for pressure on the russian federation through "collective transatlantic force".
He wrote about this on the social network X.
"Instead of a Christmas truce or progress on the path to peace, russia this morning launched another massive attack on Ukraine - hundreds of drones and missiles," the message says.
The head of the Foreign Ministry stressed that the main targets were the energy system and critical civilian infrastructure.
"Moscow is not hiding its genocidal intentions, deliberately preparing strikes on energy infrastructure as temperatures drop. While the world prepares for the Christmas holidays, Ukraine is defending itself, its freedom and its people, as well as peace and stability in the entire transatlantic region from russian barbarity and aggression," Sybiha stressed.
He said that russia must be forced to peace with the help of collective transatlantic power, which can be achieved by increasing the cost of continuing the war for the aggressor.
Instead of a Christmas ceasefire or an advancement on the path to peace, Russia launched another massive attack against Ukraine this morning — hundreds of drones and missiles.
