Trump convinced that putin wants to completely take over Ukraine - White House chief of staff

US President Donald Trump believes that Kremlin leader vladimir putin is not interested in peace and ultimately intends to establish control over the entire territory of Ukraine. This was stated by White House chief of staff Susie Wiles in an interview with Vanity Fair.

According to her, there were discussions in the Trump team about russia's real goals in the war against Ukraine, but the US President himself does not share the opinion that putin is ready to limit himself to partial territorial gains. "Experts believe that if he could capture the rest of the Donetsk Region, he would be satisfied," Wiles noted.

At the same time, according to her, Trump does not agree with this. "Donald Trump thinks that (putin - ed.) wants the whole country," she emphasized, adding that the US President does not believe that the Kremlin is ready for real peace.

After the publication of the material, Susie Wiles called the Vanity Fair article fabricated and stated that her words were taken out of context and distorted. She claims that this was done with the aim of creating a negative image of Donald Trump and his team.

Previously, Donald Trump has publicly stated that russia does not have enough occupied Ukrainian territories and that Moscow seeks to completely seize Ukraine.

Recall, Trump believes that providing Ukraine with security guarantees like NATO's Article 5 could force russian dictator vladimir putin to make peace.
