A new approach to announcing air alerts - district alerts - is being introduced across the country. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has announced fhis on her Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Svyrydenko said that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), together with the Air Forces and regional military administrations, launched the division into districts across the country, except for the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions.

According to the Prime Minister, the differentiation of the signal by individual districts will help reduce the duration of alarms in those communities where there is no real threat at a particular moment, as requested by businesses and local communities, so that enterprises can operate without downtime.

At the first stage, the system was tested in 13 regions, and now it has been expanded to all regions.

Svyrydenko noted that the new approach has already significantly reduced the duration of alarms, especially in frontline and central regions.

The government recorded the greatest effect in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, where some communities received more than 100 additional days without alarms, in the Sumy Region the alarm time was reduced by 50 days, in the Kharkiv Region - by more than a month in some communities.

The Prime Minister noted that this decision allows critical infrastructure and businesses to operate more stably and support economic activity in the regions.

In addition, she said, the signal transmission from the Air Forces to the State Emergency Service now takes 8-15 seconds instead of several minutes, which increases the efficiency of response.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a differentiated air alert system was launched in the Kyiv Region in July, since then, air raid warnings have been sounded only in areas where there is a real threat, and not across the entire region.

In September, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine considered the possibility of temporarily disabling mobile communications or slowing down mobile internet during air alerts.
