President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as of today, Ukraine has not received an official response from the United States of America to Kyiv's latest proposals for a peace plan. The head of state announced this in a conversation with the media.
He noted that certain signals are coming only through the negotiating team, but there is no official response from the United States yet.
"No, I have not yet received a reaction from the United States of America. I have heard several messages through my negotiating team. But I am receiving all the signals and will be ready for the dialogue, which will begin today," Zelenskyy noted.
Zelenskyy stressed that he is ready for the dialogue, which will begin today. He specified that a "Ukrainian-American Day" is planned in Berlin today, as well as a separate meeting with Chancellor Merz and other European leaders.
According to the President, Ukraine is determined to continue the dialogue with partners on further steps towards a peaceful settlement.
As previously reported, US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Berlin this coming weekend. It is expected that French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will participate in the talks with Witkoff in Berlin.
