Defense Forces hit one of the largest russian refineries in Yaroslavl - General Staff

On the night of December 12, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery in the Yaroslavl Oblast of the russian federation.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the General Staff, the capacity of one of the largest russian refineries was hit, with an annual processing capacity of 15 million tons of oil and oil condensate.

The enterprise actively supplied fuel to the russian occupation forces.

After the strike, explosions and a large-scale fire were recorded in the area of ​​the facility, the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

The Defense Forces also continued operations to reduce the offensive potential of the russian federation in Donbas: an ammunition depot near the village of Avdiivske was destroyed, and a concentration of enemy manpower in the areas of Myrnohrad and Rodynske, Donetsk Region, was hit.

Data on enemy losses are being refined.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 5, Ukrainian military struck the Syzran oil refinery, and damage to the ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil purification unit was reported.

As of early December, the plant had suspended primary crude oil processing and was operating at less than 50% of its design capacity with key units completely shut down.
