The unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk outlined a circle of potential rivals and at the same time named those with whom he does not plan to fight. After the second victory over Daniel Dubois and another unification of titles, the Ukrainian confirmed his intention to continue his career, Boxing News reports.
Currently, the Ukrainian boxer is deciding on his next rival. At the same time, Usyk has already refused to fight with the mandatory challenger Fabio Wardley and left the WBO title, which automatically made the Briton the champion. The Ukrainian is also not considering a fight with the promising Moses Itauma, which the head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, wanted to organize. According to Al-Sheikh, it was the Usyk-Itauma fight that could become the next big show in heavyweight, but the champion himself did not support this option.
Instead, Usyk is openly targeting a fight with former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, seeking to close in on all the big names of his era.
As previously reported, Oleksandr Usyk recently named the only UFC fighter he would like to face in the octagon.
