On the night of December 11, a massive drone attack was recorded in russia for several hours. In Moscow and the Moscow Oblast, local residents reported explosions and the operation of air defense systems. This was stated by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
According to him, the russian air defense allegedly shot down 31 drones. Against the background of the attack, Rosaviatsiya temporarily restricted the reception and departure of aircraft at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport.
At the same time, the Dorogobuzhskaya CHPP in the Smolensk Oblast was hit by drones. This is a combined heat and power plant with a capacity of about 90 MW, which provides electricity and heat to industrial enterprises and residential areas of the region. Local resources report a fire and disruptions in the facility's operation, but the russian authorities traditionally limit themselves to minimal comments on the real scale of the damage.
Veliky Novgorod was also hit, where an industrial facility caught fire after a drone attack. The scale of the fire, according to eyewitnesses, was significant.
It is noted that the strike drones hit the chemical plant of PJSC Akron in Veliky Novgorod. The enterprise is one of the largest chemical production facilities in russia, and some of its products and raw materials have a dual purpose - in particular, they are used as a key component in the manufacture of explosives. After the attack, a fire was also observed on the territory of the plant.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine attacked the largest russian manufacturer of basic components for explosives.
On November 26, the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the VNIIR-Progress enterprise in Cheboksary, which produces navigation equipment for missiles.
Recall that on November 25, satellite images of russian aircraft destroyed on the territory of an aircraft repair plant in Taganrog were published online.
