On Monday, December 8, seismologists recorded seismic activity in Zakarpattia. This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control.
The earthquake occurred near the village of Kholmovets. Its magnitude was 1.8 on the Richter scale, and the depth of the epicenter was 8 kilometers.
According to the classification, this earthquake is considered imperceptible. Usually, such vibrations can only be recorded by special devices and do not pose a threat to the population.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Sunday, September 28, an earthquake measuring 3 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Lviv Region.
On the morning of August 24, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone in Romania, and tremors were felt in the nearby Odesa Region.
It was also reported that on the night of May 17, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone in Romania. The earthquake's echoes were also heard in the south of the Odesa Region, as well as in Moldova and Bulgaria.
Before that, as Ukrainian News Agency reported, residents of the Odesa Region felt an earthquake on May 11, also with a magnitude of 4.2.
