The dismissal of Andrii Yermak from the post of head of the Presiden's Office will cause significant changes in the entire Ukrainian political system and is likely to affect further negotiations to end the war. Shaun Walker, a correspondent for The Guardian, has stated this.

Walker notes that Yermak performed a number of key functions for Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He was not only the most trusted person and access controller to the President, but also the main peace negotiator, internal political coordinator and the main contact person for foreign politicians.

The author emphasizes that Yermak's influence has been so significant that experts describe his relationship with Zelenskyy as "interdependent." While this influence inevitably created enemies among the Ukrainian elite, many praised his work ethic and political skills.

At the same time, despite the fact that many foreign politicians valued Yermak as a direct channel of communication with the president, he was not always a welcome interlocutor. As an example, Walker cites the Trump administration, whose representatives preferred to communicate with the current NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.

According to Shaun Walker, from a political point of view, the dismissal of the chief of staff may be "the smartest move" taken by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As a reminder, the head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak resigns.

On Friday morning, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) reported that they were searching the place of the head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak.
