As of November 28, Ukraine has already harvested 52,580,700 tons of grain crops on an area of 10,420,100 hectares and threshed 89% of the area sown with these crops.
This is said in a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, wheat was harvested: 22,960,200 tons on an area of 5,051,600 hectares; barley - 5,419,100 tons on an area of 1,360,900 hectares; peas - 672,500 tons on an area of 275,100 hectares and corn - 22,486,200 tons on an area of 3,309,700 hectares, which is 75% of the sown area.
Other grains and legumes were harvested in the amount of 898,100 tons on the area of 327,800 hectares.
Among the leaders of the harvest, in particular: Khmelnytskyi Region - 4,889,100 tons from the area of 574,700 hectares; Chernihiv Region - 4,763,800 tons from the area of 659,000 hectares; Vinnytsia Region - 4,636,800 tons from the area of 730,800 hectares; Odesa Region - 4,067,700 tons from the area of 1,202,400 hectares and Poltava Region - 3,890,700 tons from the area of 552,600 hectares.
As of November 28, the total amount of oilseeds harvested was 17,079,300 tons.
In particular: sunflower - 9,019,300 tons on the area of 4,800,300 hectares; soybeans - 4,743,200 tons on the area of 2,000,400 hectares; and rapeseed - 3,316,700 tons on the area of 1,260,200 hectares.
In general, sunflower was harvested from 93% of the planted areas, soybeans - 97%, rapeseed harvesting is completed.
Sugar beet has already been harvested in the amount of 10,274,100 tons on the area of 192,200 hectares, which is 97% of the planted area.
As the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Taras Vysotsky, noted, up to 60 million tons of grain and up to 20 million tons of oilseeds are expected.
The harvested crop is fully sufficient to provide Ukrainians with food and form a stable feed base for the livestock industry.
Approximately two-thirds of the products will be exported.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of November 21, Ukraine had already harvested 50,928,800 tons of grain crops on an area of 10,228,700 hectares and 88% of the area sown with these crops had been threshed.
