In October this year, Belarus increased the supply of automotive fuel to the aggressor country russia by almost 50 times, which is facing a fuel crisis due to Ukraine's strikes on oil refineries.

The russian edition of Vedomosti reported this with reference to a representative of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange.

According to the source, in October, gasoline supplies from Belarus to russia increased 47 times to almost 37,000 tons in annual terms.

Since the beginning of November, the growth of fuel supplies from Belarus to the russian federation has continued. From November 1 to 19, 21,000 tons of Belarusian gasoline arrived in the country. This is seven times more than in the same period last year.

According to Open Oil Market CEO Sergei Tereshkin, two Belarusian refineries (Mozyr and Novopolotsk) are capable of producing approximately 150,000 tons of fuel per month. He noted that this is not significant against the background of total gasoline consumption in russia, but they are important for stabilizing the market.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in late September, the russian government announced the extension of the ban on gasoline exports. It will be in effect at least until the end of 2025.

As a reminder, according to the International Energy Agency's forecast, due to Ukraine's strikes, russia will be forced to curb oil refining at least until mid-2026.

We also wrote that amid the fuel crisis in russia, they began to dilute gasoline on a massive scale. This has led to more frequent breakdowns of cars of some brands.
