Europe will support US peace plan and will not create its own - British Prime Minister Starmer

European countries have decided to work on the peace plan for Ukraine initiated by the United States, and currently do not plan to develop their own alternative proposal. This was stated by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a speech in the House of Commons.

He noted that the US peace plan became a central topic at the recent summit of the "Big Twenty" (G20).

"A strong consensus was reached that we should work with the existing text, although some parts of it are unacceptable, but other parts are essential, and not with a different text," the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to Starmer, a similar negotiation process regarding the US plan took place in Geneva, where delegations from Ukraine and the United States met.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine "agreed to a peace agreement" initiated by the administration of former US President Donald Trump to stop the russian offensive, which has been going on for almost four years.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhii Tykhyi reported that during the negotiations, the American and Ukrainian delegations discussed the peace plan "point by point", the most sensitive of which will be raised at the level of the presidents of Ukraine and the US.

Also, as part of concessions aimed at ending the war with russia, Ukraine allegedly agreed to limit the number of its military personnel.
