In 2026, supplies of American LNG from ORLEN to Naftogaz may reach 1 billion cubic meters

Naftogaz Group and Polish energy company ORLEN have signed an agreement that finalizes arrangements for the supply of 300 million cubic meters of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026.

This is stated in the group's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement says that the parties signed a preliminary statement of intent on November 7 in Greece during the P-TEC energy conference.

"We are consistently diversifying sources and routes of gas supply to strengthen our energy sustainability. This year, within the framework of our agreements with ORLEN, 600 million m3 of American LNG will be delivered to Ukraine. In total, in 2026, we expect imports of American LNG at the level of 1 billion m3. I thank our Polish partners for their trust," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

It is noted that the gas will undergo regasification at the Świnoujście terminal in Poland and will arrive in Ukraine across the Polish-Ukrainian au border.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 7, the Naftogaz group and the Polish company ORLEN agreed on the supply of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine - up to 300 million cubic meters.

Naftogaz Group, in partnership with Polish ORLEN, has already supplied Ukraine with about 400 million cubic meters of American liquefied gas in preparation for the winter of 2025-2026.
