Naftogaz and ORLEN agree on new supplies of 300 million cubic meters of American LNG to Ukraine

Naftogaz Group and the Polish company ORLEN have agreed on the supply of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine - up to 300 million cubic meters.

This is stated in the group's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"This time we are solving two important tasks at once. Firstly, it is ensuring additional volumes of imported gas, which are urgently needed during the heating season due to russian attacks. Secondly, our partners, together with the Polish export credit agency KUKE, are providing us with a credit leverage for post-payment of the delivered volumes, which helps to cover the current liquidity deficit," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

The report states that the agreement was signed in the presence and with the support of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Hrynchuk, the Minister of Energy of Poland Milosz Motyk, the Secretary (Minister) of the US Energy Chris Wright and the Secretary (Minister) of the Interior Doug Bergam.

The agreement continues the consistent cooperation between the two companies.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Naftogaz group, in partnership with the Polish ORLEN, has already supplied Ukraine with about 400 million cubic meters of American liquefied gas in preparation for the winter of 2025-2026.
