On November 20, 1000 bodies were returned to Ukraine, which, according to the russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen. It was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
"Investigators of law enforcement agencies together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will soon carry out all the necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies," the statement said.
It is noted that the repatriation was carried out thanks to the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoners of War, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office and Secretariat of the Ombudsman, the State Emergency Service and other security sector structures.
"Special thanks to the personnel of the Central Department of the Civil Service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Joint Center for Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carries out the transportation of repatriates," the headquarters added.
Recall that in October, russia also handed over the bodies of 1000 servicemen.
On June 16, russia handed over the bodies of russian servicemen mixed with those of Ukrainians.
