The number of blocked tax invoices has significantly decreased: the figure has quadrupled and now stands at 0.2%.
The acting head of the State Tax Service Lesia Karnaukh announced this in an interview with LIGA.net, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to her, at the beginning of the year, the problem with blocking was one of the most common complaints from businesses.
"When our team started working at the State Tax Service in January 2025, there was not a single meeting where businesses did not complain about blocked tax invoices. It was total. Now we have managed to change the situation," said Lesia Karnaukh.
To achieve this result, the State Tax Service has implemented a number of steps:
In particular:
- created consultation centers to explain business procedures;
- revised approaches to data tables and a package of documents submitted by a business entity to unblock a tax invoice;
- continued the initiative through tax consultant offices;
- initiated and prepared amendments to regulatory acts that were supported by the government.
Lesia Karnaukh also noted that the 0.2% of blocked invoices are mainly those taxpayers who have made their choice in favor of shadow business.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2025, the then head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko initiated changes to the mechanism for suspending the registration of tax invoices.
