The US Congress will pass a bill that will give US President Donald Trump the right to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor country russia.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said this on the social network X (Twitter).

"I am very pleased that with President Trump’s blessing, Congress will be moving on the overwhelmingly bipartisan Russia sanctions bill that will provide President Trump with more tools to end the bloodbath in Ukraine," Graham wrote.

According to him, the bill would give Trump the right to impose secondary sanctions and tariffs on countries that continue to buy oil and gas from russia at his discretion.

The senator added that the law is designed to give Trump more flexibility and power to force russian dictator vladimir putin to the negotiating table, putting pressure on both russia and the countries that support it.

He emphasized the importance of the sanctions previously imposed on russian oil companies Lukoil and Rosneft. The bill will continue the momentum of restrictions on russia.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday, November 16, US President Trump announced "severe" sanctions against countries that trade with russia

On November 14, the Financial Times wrote that the Trump administration intends to push russian gas out of Europe.
