This approach ensures equal rules for international and Ukrainian companies and creates a transparent digital market.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2024, non-resident international companies providing electronic services to individuals in the customs territory of Ukraine declared more than UAH 12.6 billion in tax liabilities ("Google tax").

In June 2021, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law introducing a "Google tax."

According to the law, foreign tech giants are required to pay 20% value-added tax (VAT), just like other businesses registered in Ukraine.
