Ukraine receives EUR 5.9 billion from EU - Svyrydenko

Ukraine received EUR 5.9 billion from the European Union. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Svyrydenko noted, in particular, that Ukraine received EUR 4.1 billion within the framework of the ERA Loans mechanism - the final tranche within the framework of the EUR 18 billion program financed from profits from frozen russian assets. Another EUR 1.8 billion - within the framework of the Ukraine Facility.

"This is confirmation that Ukraine is confidently moving along the path of reforms and European integration," she noted.

Svyrydenko noted that both decisions are the result of a strategic partnership and trust between Ukraine and the European Union. According to her, these funds help Ukraine maintain macro-financial stability in the face of the challenges of war.

In turn, the Ministry of Finance reported that these funds will be directed to priority state budget expenditures - in the social and defense sectors, as well as to the country's recovery.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 1, Svyrydenko reported that Ukraine received a tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union in the amount of EUR 4 billion under the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) mechanism.

The ERA mechanism provides for the provision of a USD 50 billion loan to Ukraine, secured by future revenues from frozen russian assets. Since the end of 2024, the G7 countries and the EU have already provided Ukraine with about USD 35 billion in financing under this initiative.

Within the framework of the Ukraine Facility instrument for 2024-2027, about EUR 50 billion are provided for Ukraine (EUR 38.27 billion - direct budget support), the state budget of Ukraine has already received more than EUR 24.4 billion since 2024, and in 2025 - more than EUR 8.3 billion.
