The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that the aggressor state of russia is concentrating a significant part of its grouping in the Pokrovsk Axis. On the approaches to Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region, in the urban area, the fight against small assault infantry groups continues, but there is no talk of control over the city or the encirclement of Ukrainian forces.
He reported this on Telegram on November 13.
Thus, Syrskyi reported that he had made a trip to the Pokrovsk Axis, where together with the commanders they focused on the results of the implementation of previously defined tasks and planned further actions.
"The Pokrovsk Axis remains the main one in the context of the enemy's offensive. The largest number of daily assault actions of the enemy is recorded here, a significant part of his grouping operating on the territory of Ukraine is concentrated here," the report says.
He noted that the russians, in particular, are trying to take advantage of difficult weather conditions.
"There is no question of russian control over the city of Pokrovsk or the operational encirclement of the Defense Forces of Ukraine group," the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
Syrskyi reported that on the approaches and directly in the city buildings, a constant struggle continues with small assault infantry groups of the enemy, less often - the destruction of light enemy equipment. According to him, the Defense Forces are doing everything to make it impossible for the enemy to move and consolidate.
At the same time, the search and destruction of the enemy continues in the adjacent Ocheretyne Axis. Over the past 7 days, as a result of search and strike operations, 7.4 sq km of the territory of the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk Region have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
He defined the main task as the gradual taking under control of certain areas, supporting and protecting existing logistical routes, as well as organizing additional ones - to provide the defenders with everything they need in a timely manner and to evacuate the wounded without interruption.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier, Syrskyi said that the army of the aggressor country of russia has concentrated about 150,000 soldiers in the Pokrovsk Axis. The occupiers intend to capture the city and surrounding settlements, and then carry out a "final maneuver" in the region.
The Assault Assault Troops reported that more than 300 russian soldiers are located directly in the city of Pokrovsk, trying to reach the northern borders of the city in order to surround the agglomeration.
On November 10, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied the occupiers' statements about the alleged establishment of full fire control over logistical routes in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad areas.
