The Cabinet of Ministers has made the first decisions to restart NNEGC Energoatom, one of which is the early termination of the powers of the company's Supervisory Board. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram channel on Tuesday, November 11.
Svyrydenko emphasized that it is the Supervisory Board that should be responsible for the situation at Energoatom, as the Government did not interfere in its activities. In addition, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, in consultation with international partners, should submit a new composition of the Supervisory Board for approval by the Government within a week. The Supervisory Board should restart the management, conduct a full audit of the company and assist law enforcement agencies in investigating possible corruption.
"Third. I have instructed the State Audit Service to conduct an urgent audit of Energoatom, including procurement. We expect the results of the audit as soon as possible. We will hand over the materials to law enforcement and anti-corruption authorities," emphasized Svyrydenko.
