Former Minister of Economy, now President of the Kyiv School of Economics and a freelance adviser to the Presidential Office, Tymofii Mylovanov, resigned as a member of the Supervisory Board of Energoatom after large-scale corruption was discovered in the company.
He announced this on his Facebook page.
He said he proposed two key solutions: to temporarily suspend all officials whose names appear in the investigation materials, and to create an independent Ethics and Compliance Committee to fully review procurement procedures, financial transactions and control systems.
He said that both initiatives were not implemented, and his demands were met with only excuses.
"I demanded results, not explanations of processes. I was told that I was toxic, biased and 'demanding the impossible'. The situation with the NABU was supposed to be an awakening for the management board and the Supervisory Board of Energoatom. The awakening did not happen. Instead, there is a slumber and a hope that somehow it will work out," he wrote.
Mylovanov also published his resignation letter.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office released part of the audio recordings as part of the investigation into a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector, codenamed Midas.
According to the NABU and SAPO, the main activity of the suspects was the systematic receipt of illegal benefits from Energoatom's contractors in the amount of 10% to 15% of the value of contracts.
As a reminder, searches were conducted at the businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95, Tymur Mindich, an ally of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, former Minister of Energy and Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, and at Energoatom.
