Ukrainian farmers sowed 94.5% of projected areas with winter crops

As of November 11, 2025, Ukrainian farmers sowed 6,194,500 hectares of winter crops, which is 94.5% of the projected areas.

This is announced in a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, the following were sown: winter wheat - 4,507,600 hectares; winter barley – 544,200 hectares and winter rye – 66,100 hectares.

Among the leaders in grain crops sowing are the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv Regions.

Grain sowing has already been completed in the Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Rivne and Chernihiv Regions.

Winter rapeseed was sown on 1,076,700 hectares.

Most of all – in the Odesa, Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv Regions.

Farmers in 14 regions have completely completed sowing rapeseed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of October 28, 2025, Ukrainian farmers had sown 5.3 million hectares of winter crops, which is 7% less than last year (as of October 29, 2024 - 5.7 million hectares).
