Due to the massive russian shelling on November 8, both TPPs of Centrenergo stopped working. The assessment of the damage is currently underway. Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak said this during a telethon.
The manager noted that restoration work will begin immediately as soon as it becomes safe. The primary tasks of specialists are to dismantle the rubble, as well as accurately determine the extent of damage and the amount of destruction to assess the necessary measures to restore the equipment.
Andarak emphasized that it is still difficult to make accurate forecasts for the repair of TPPs, since the attack occurred only the day before, and the extent of damage is still being established. At the same time, he noted that Ukraine has a stock of repair equipment, accumulated, in particular, thanks to international support.
At the same time, Andarak warned: if specialized equipment is needed, the restoration time may increase. At the same time, he emphasized that the employees of Centrenergo have high professionalism and are able to quickly return damaged energy facilities to operation.
"We hope that it will be the same this time," the official concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Saturday, November 8, during a night strike on Ukraine, the russian army massively attacked the country's energy infrastructure.
Today, November 10, as a result of russian air attacks, there is another damage to energy facilities. In most regions, power outage schedules are in effect with a volume of 2 to 4 shifts.
