The father of British boxer Tyson Fury - John Fury - shared his opinion on his son's future in boxing. In an interview with Boxing King Media, he said that he does not know whether the "Gypsy King" will return to the ring, but he himself would prefer to see him retired.
"Yes, listen, Tyson did his thing, didn't he? But with Tyson, everything is not so simple, because both of his fights with Usyk can be interpreted differently. Usyk was not the undisputed winner - everything could have turned out differently," the father of the British boxer noted.
At the same time, Fury noted that he sees the point in holding a third fight with the Ukrainian champion.
"Is there any point in a third fight? Of course there is. But I would prefer Tyson to stay where he is now - on vacation. Today he ended his career, tomorrow he will not. Never write off a good person," said John Fury.
As you know, Tyson Fury has not entered the ring since December 2024, when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time in a row and announced the end of his career. In the first fight, the Ukrainian won by a split decision, in the rematch - by unanimous decision.
Recently, Fury Sr. again spoke about a possible trilogy with Usyk, which could take place in April 2026. Usyk himself is currently focused on a fight against the mandatory challenger according to the WBO version Fabio Wardley, but does not rule out the possibility of a third meeting.
