The long-awaited fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury took place in Riyadh, in which the Ukrainian boxer won in a rematch and defended his WBC, WBA and WBO world heavyweight champion titles.

In the fourth round, the Ukrainian took the advantage: his blows to the body and head forced the Briton to go on the defensive.

Before the fight's halfway point, Usyk landed several serious hits to the head of his rival, but he failed to knock Fury down. In the ninth round, the Ukrainian increased the pressure even more, landing a series of punches to the head and body.
The penultimate round was marked by mutual powerful attacks: Usyk landed several well-aimed blows, and Fury responded with jabs.
The winner was determined by the judges' notes. Oleksandr Usyk won a convincing victory by unanimous decision of the judges with a score of 116-112. Thus, the Ukrainian retained the WBA, WBO and WBC championship belts, consolidating his status as the absolute world champion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Tyson Fury met eyes on the eve of their rematch after a press conference in Saudi Arabia.
Usyk was at the arrival ceremony before the fight with Tyson Fury in Riyadh wearing a suit from the Ukrainian brand Damirli.
