The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company stated that on the night of November 8, russia carried out its ninth massive attack on Ukraine's civilian gas infrastructure since early October.
This was announced in the group's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Another vile attack by the russians, aimed at depriving Ukrainians of gas, heat and electricity in winter. Another act of terrorism. We thank the air defense forces: every target shot down is, first of all, lives saved," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to the Chairman of the Board, the enemy again used missiles and drones, purposefully hitting objects that provide Ukrainians with heat in winter.
The report states that a hit and injury to an employee of the Naftogaz Group was recorded, he is receiving medical assistance.
There is also damage to production equipment.
Rescuers are working at the scene.
As soon as the security situation allows, the company's specialists will begin restoring the damaged facilities.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 22, russian troops struck the Poltava Region, as a result of the attack in the Myrhorod district, damage was recorded to oil and gas industry facilities.
On the night of October 28, the enemy struck civilian gas infrastructure facilities of the Naftogaz Group in the Poltava Region, and this was the seventh targeted attack since the beginning of October.
