The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company stated that the enemy struck civilian gas infrastructure facilities of the Naftogaz group in the Poltava Region this night, and that this is the seventh targeted attack since the beginning of October.
This is stated in the group's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Fortunately, no people were injured - this is the main thing. Specialists are working at the site of the attack: they are assessing the consequences and starting restoration. The facilities attacked by russia have no military significance," Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company, said.
According to the Chairman of the Board, the sole purpose of these strikes is to leave Ukrainians without gas, heat and electricity.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier Oleksii Honcharenko from the European Solidarity wrote in his Telegram channel that the russians knocked out almost the entire gas system.
On the night of October 22, russian troops struck the Poltava Region, as a result of the attack in the Myrhorod district, damage was recorded to oil and gas industry facilities.
