Journalist Dmytro Slynko took the oath of office in the Verkhovna Rada and became a member of the Servant of the People party instead of MP Anna Kolisnyk, who resigned. The deputy head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada and deputy head of the parliamentary committee on humanitarian and information policy Yevheniya Kravchuk announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The Servant of the People faction has a new addition. Today, Dmytro Slynko took the oath of office as a Member of Parliament. I have known Dmytro since 2019, I appreciate his journalistic and communication experience, passion for the development of domestic tourism, as well as teamwork and a great sense of humor," she said.

Slynko, 45, is included in the electoral list of the Servant of the People party under No. 151 as a non-affiliated MP.

Slynko was born on December 29, 1979 in Kyiv.

Slynko is married and has three children.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 21, the Verkhovna Rada terminated the powers of Anna Kolisnyk, a MP from the Servant of the People faction, on suspicion of making false statements in her declaration.

According to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, after the termination of Kolisnyk's parliamentary powers, 228 MPs remained in the Servant of the People faction (to maintain the status of a mono-majority faction, there must be at least 226 MPs ). With Slynko's election, the Servant of the People faction again has 229 MPs.
