US President Donald Trump said that his administration will not provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles and is not currently considering such a possibility. However, he added that he could change his mind.
He said this during a conversation with journalists on November 3.
When asked whether the Trump administration would provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles or whether he was considering such a possibility, the US president answered in the negative: "No, not really," he said,
At the same time, Trump noted that he could change his mind, but at the moment "I'm not" [going to do it].
The American president also said, answering the next question, that for him there is no "final straw" that will prove that russian dictator vladimir putin is not really ready to end the war.
"There is no final straw. Sometimes you have to let it fight out, and they are fighting it out. And it's been a tough war for Putin. He's lost a lot of soldiers, maybe a million. That's a lot of soldiers. And it's been tough for Ukraine. It's been tough on both. Sometimes you have to let it, you know, just get fought out," the American president said.
Recall that CNN, citing three knowledgeable American and European officials, reported that the Pentagon has given the White House the green light to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk long-range missiles. The final decision on the transfer remains with US President Donald Trump.
