Information about the presence of russian troops in Myrnohrad, Donetsk Region, is not true. It was reported by the Operational Command East.

The Command emphasized that the situation in Myrnohrad and its surroundings remains under full control. Ukrainian units hold the city, and no hostilities are taking place within the settlement.

"There is no enemy in Myrnohrad. The situation in the city and its surroundings is fully controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the military said.

The command explained that earlier the spokesman for the Operational Command East in his commentary during the National Telethon made a mistake, referring to the situation in Pokrovsk, not Myrnohrad.

In order to avoid further spreading false information, the press service noted that earlier the spokesperson had made a mistake during the telethon, referring to the real combat situation in Pokrovsk, not Myrnohrad.

As a reminder, Azov has repelled the largest recent assault in the Pokrovsk sector.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also denied the occupiers' statements about the encirclement of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv Region.
