Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to strike the Gaza Strip due to Hamas's violation of the ceasefire agreement. This was reported in a message from the X-account of Netanyahu's office and The Times Of Israel on Tuesday, October 28.
"Following security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the military to immediately launch forceful strikes on the Gaza Strip," the statement reads.

The publication writes that Palestinian media reported a wave of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said Hamas would pay a "heavy price" for its attack on IDF soldiers earlier today in Rafah in southern Gaza and for the terrorist group's violation of an agreement under which it was to return the bodies of the dead hostages.
"The attack on IDF soldiers in Gaza today by the terrorist organization Hamas crosses a blatant red line, to which the IDF will respond with great force. Hamas will pay many times over for its attack on soldiers and for violating the agreement to return the dead hostages," Katz said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 9, Hamas and Israel agreed to the first step of a ceasefire plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.
On October 13, US President Donald Trump officially signed the Gaza ceasefire agreement with moderators from Egypt, Qatar and Turkey.
On October 16, Israel and Hamas announced a ceasefire violation and renewed gunfire.
