China responded to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's words about the country's assistance to the aggressor state of russia, declaring "unremitting work to achieve a truce."
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Guo Jiakun during a press conference, the press service reports.
When asked how the Chinese Foreign Ministry reacts to Zelenskyy's statement that China is providing russia with assistance, thanks to which it has the opportunity to continue its aggressive war against Ukraine, the department repeated its previously voiced position.
"China's position on the Ukrainian crisis (the war in Ukraine - ed.) is always based on real facts. We have been working tirelessly to achieve a ceasefire and hold peace talks, and our efforts speak for themselves. China will continue to call for peace and dialogue and play a constructive role in de-escalation and political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis," Guo Jiakun said.
Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that China is helping the aggressor state of russia, because, in his opinion, the PRC is not interested in Ukraine's victory and russia's defeat - it is not interested in a "weak russia".
The American publication The Washington Post (WP) stated in a material that China is providing significant assistance to the aggressor state of russia, supplying key components for the production of fiber-optic FPV drones, which allow russian troops to strike deeper into the Ukrainian army.
In addition, Chinese reconnaissance satellites were spotted over Western Ukraine on October 5, when the russian army launched a massive air attack on Ukraine.
And in August, a Chinese camera was found on a russian drone, which recorded footage from a factory in China, where it was probably being tested for functionality.
