Russian troops tried to advance on the frontline in two regions of Ukraine near the villages of Verbove, Stepove and Novohryhorivka over the past day.

It was reported by the DeepState analytical project on Thursday, October 23.

Invaders were seen in the Dnipropetrovsk Region near the settlements of Verbove and Stepove, and in Zaporizhzhia - near Novohryhorivka. All these points are located in the Oleksandrivka direction.

The analytical project has also published new maps of the fighting.

According to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 126 combat clashes took place in the frontline over the last day, the largest number of them - 50 - in the Pokrovsk sector.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian forces stopped 20 attempts to storm russian units, the General Staff said.

The situation at the front remains tense, and defense units continue to hold key positions.

Russian troops in the Lyman sector are resorting to propaganda tricks - the command orders to raise flags to create the illusion of numerical superiority over the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
