Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has denied that Hungary might block the 19th package of EU sanctions, allegedly in connection with the upcoming meeting between vladimir putin and Donald Trump in Budapest. This is reported by Euractiv.

He denied rumors of possible actions that could harm the approval of sanctions during the upcoming meeting between russian president vladimir putin and former US President Donald Trump in Budapest. The minister noted that the Hungarian side had only highlighted those items that meet national interests.

"We have no plans to block it. We have managed to exclude all those measures that would contradict our national interests," the Hungarian Foreign Minister said.

Recall that earlier Hungary accused Ukraine of an extraordinary deterioration in relations over the past 10 years.

The Foreign Ministry responded to statements from Hungary to give up territories for peace.

In late September, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in an interview with The Guardian, that Budapest will not refuse to buy russian energy, despite the US call for it.
