US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, kept returning to the topic of his "dissatisfaction with not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize."

The Washington Post writes about this with reference to a European diplomat who was informed about the meeting.

According to the source, in a conversation about russia's war against Ukraine, Trump called on Kyiv to cede the entire Donbas to conclude a peace deal. He also said that russian president vladimir putin allegedly "wants to end the war" and assured that "it can be done quickly."

Journalists remind that Trump has repeatedly promised to "stop the war in Ukraine in 24 hours" but did not explain how exactly.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump denied media reports that he had called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to give up Donbas.

Not long before, the Financial Times wrote, citing its own sources, that at a meeting at the White House, Trump called on Zelenskyy to accept russia's terms.

The US President also stated that more military personnel than civilians die as a result of the strikes of the aggressor country russia on civilian areas.
