In January-September 2025, the Deposit Guarantee Fund paid UAH 239.8 million in compensation to depositors of banks that are being withdrawn from the market.
This is stated in the report of the Fund, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, in September, depositors were paid UAH 1.6 million.
Since February 24, 2022, more than UAH 9 billion of guaranteed compensation has been paid out.
During martial law and within three months after its lifting, all depositors receive their funds in full, together with accrued interest.
All in all, since the Fund's inception, the amount of guaranteed compensation has amounted to almost UAH 105.0 billion, and 96% of bank depositors - all those who applied for compensation - have received it.
The DGF pays the guaranteed compensation exclusively from its own resources.
As of September 30, 2025, the Fund's assets amounted to UAH 46.48 billion.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, starting from April 13, 2022, a 100% deposit guarantee is in effect during martial law and within three months after its lifting, which applies to term deposits, as well as funds on current accounts of individuals and individual entrepreneurs.
