This is stated in the report of the DGF, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
For example, in 2024, total revenues to banks managed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) amounted to UAH 3.8 billion.
Of these funds, UAH 1,835.5 million came from correspondent accounts to Prominvestbank JSC.
The Fund proved that the funds on the correspondent accounts of Prominvestbank belong to the state of Ukraine, released the funds from the sanctions block and returned about USD 44 million to the bank.
Later, in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, the Fund transferred these funds to the state budget of Ukraine.
All in all, since the beginning of 2025, the banks liquidated by the Deposit Guarantee Fund have received more than UAH 4.3 billion.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 25, 2022, the National Bank revoked the banking licenses and sent Prominvestbank, owned by the russian state corporation VEB.RF, and the International Reserve Bank, owned by Sberbank of russia, into liquidation.
In May 2022, the National Security and Defense Council decided to compulsorily seize the shares of these banks.
Accordingly, the Fund replaced the "parent" structures of russian banks in the register of creditors with the state of Ukraine.
During the liquidation of Prominvestbank, it was found that USD 2 million and more than EUR 36.6 million were placed on its correspondent account with BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON (US).
In 2022, these funds were blocked by the US side in connection with the imposition of US sanctions against the Bank as a subsidiary of the russian VEB.RF.
