Air Force says that russian night attack was different from previous ones

The Ukrainian Air Force today commented on the russian attack on Ukrainian infrastructure and noted that it was different from those that had occurred before. This was stated by the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, on the air of a telethon.

Thus, according to Ihnat, the main difference of this attack was the use of mainly ballistic missiles.

"Today, the peculiarity of the attack was that in addition to 320 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types, 37 missiles were used," Ihnat said.

He also reported that this time russia mainly used ballistic missiles - 28 units (2 Kinzhals and 26 Iskander-Ms).

He emphasized that these missiles can only be shot down by systems that work against ballistics, in particular Patriot. The leadership of Ukraine, including the President, constantly appeals to partners to strengthen air defense with these complexes.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, due to the sixth attack by the russian federation in October, Naftogaz stopped the operation of some facilities, and Ukrainians were urged to save gas.

Emergency power outagges are in effect in 8 regions due to the difficult situation in the energy system.

On the night of October 16, the aggressor country of russia once again attacked the energy infrastructure of DTEK Naftogaz with drones and missiles.
