Russian occupiers attacked the city of Nizhyn in the Chernihiv Region in the evening and in the morning. A high-rise building was hit, and the Nova Poshta terminal was also damaged. The occupiers also hit an enterprise in Chernihiv, causing a fire.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
Thus, on the evening of October 15, a UAV hit a residential high-rise building in Nizhyn. The attack damaged the Nova Poshta terminal, a store and a delivery service branch. 2 trucks and a passenger car were destroyed by fire. Two civilians were injured - a man and a woman.

Also in the morning in Chernihiv, one of the city's enterprises was damaged by explosions, a fire broke out. Debris from one of the drones fell on a private plot on the outskirts of the city.

In one of the villages of the Semenivska community, an uninhabited house caught fire as a result of mortar shelling.
In total, during the day, the russians shelled the region 59 times, 21 settlements were under attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, also on the night of October 16, the aggressor country of russia once again attacked the energy infrastructure of DTEK Naftogaz with drones and missiles. The work of gas production facilities in the Poltava Region was stopped.
Meanwhile, it became known that on Friday, October 10, after a large-scale russian shelling of gas and energy infrastructure, two CHPPs in Kyiv that provided the city with electricity completely stopped operating.
