Russia preparing to launch new phase of aggression against Europe - Finnish Defense Minister

Russia is preparing for the second phase of potential aggression against the North Atlantic Alliance. This was stated by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen during a meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council, which took place on October 15 in Brussels, CNN reports.

He notes that after the war in Ukraine ends, russia will still pose a threat to Europe.

"Russia is really increasing its military efforts for the second phase of its potential aggression. After the war in Ukraine ends, there are real threats to NATO," he said on the sidelines of a meeting of the NATO North Atlantic Council in Brussels.

The minister emphasized that the modernization of russian troops and their location near European borders indicate a growing danger.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Dutch military encountered unknown drones and communications interference during NATO exercises in Poland. It is currently claimed that it is unclear who is behind the appearance of the drones.

On October 5, another unidentified aerial object was found in Poland, which the police described as "fragments of an object resembling a drone."

As a reminder, on the night of September 9-10, during the night attack of the russian federation on Ukraine, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. The Chief of the General Staff, General Wiesław Kukula, admitted that 21 drones had flown into Poland.

Then defensive procedures were launched. The drones, which posed a direct threat, were shot down by Polish and allied aircraft. The publication noted that this was the first case in modern Polish history when the Air Force used weapons in the country's airspace. A house was damaged during the shooting down of the drones in the village of Wyryki.
