When a russian submarine was seen off the coast of Europe
ADVERTISINGOn October 9, the NATO Naval Command reported that a russian submarine B-261 Novorossiysk had been spotted on the surface off the coast of France, unexpectedly surfacing during a patrol.
A French frigate spotted the submarine near its waters and established surveillance over it.
NATO suggested that the boat could have surfaced due to a technical malfunction, but emphasized that the situation was under control. However, the russian military assured that the boat was fine.
