The Cabinet of Ministers has opened the way for manufacturers to use Defense Ministry technologies. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are launching an experimental mechanism for transferring technologies developed in the Defense Ministry system into mass production. Solutions that have proven effective can be quickly scaled up by several manufacturers simultaneously," he said.
According to Shmyhal, this will allow:
to increase production volumes and saturate the front with proven equipment;
to expand the range of weapons at the expense of existing state developments;
to attract the potential of NATO partners to improve Defense Ministry technologies through a new export procedure.
"Technologies remain the property of the state. Access is granted only to verified manufacturers according to clear criteria. Thus, we accelerate the development of new prototypes of weapons, scale up their production, reduce dependence on imports, and deepen international cooperation. Each proven technology should work for the benefit of our soldiers and strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities," the minister noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, Shmyhal announced that the Cabinet of Ministers had additionally allocated over UAH 2 billion to the Ministry of Defense to finance the "Bonus Drone Army" project.
